Labor Day Monday September 6th

30K with some tight hams/glutes. Back issue stopped me stretching these problem spots out for the past couple of weeks.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Had to roll the dice a bit with the week but found to no surprise that taper and travel aren't really compatible. The biggest local/regional race of the year (past two years actually) was this weekend, and I wanted to aim for it. The hitch was, my friend's son was getting married (or celebrating the wedding, which was actually a year ago, but this time with a party and guests). So we traveled to Iowa Friday-Sunday, returning Sunday afternoon. Thus had three long days in a row.

M - 6.3

T - 9 with 4X 800, 3X 150

W - 8.1

Th - 8.6 with 6X 45 sec speed work (mile effort)

F - Travel, 5.1 easy but late (like 8 PM and feeling the travel).

Sa - rest

Su - ran back at home (7600') hot and very tried from long trip (early start, delayed flights and a couple hours of driving).

40.3 and went to bed last night feeling overtired.

Today I ran 38:47 for 10K. Meh. JV team.
