OMG Chicken
« on: June 08, 2020, 11:34:57 PM »
I have been in love with chicken since I was a kid. Tonight it was a collaboration. I made the fried chicken and DW made the tomato/kalamata salad and the taters and gravy. Being home full time has its advantages.

I think that meal should forever more be called "OMG Chicken."  :)

Fried chicken is something I never make, but looooove to eat. It's just too much work and too messy for me to want to tackle it.

I managed to convince my mom that it's my husband's favorite dish, so sometimes she'll make it when we are coming over. (I already have a long list of favorite dishes for her to make me so I had to palm it off on him...)

I love it too, but never make it. Somehow if I eat fried chicken someone else has made it doesn’t seem as unhealthy! :D

Count me in as another who loves fried chicken but who very VERY rarely prepares it.  Sounds like you and your DW made the perfect meal.  :heartbeat:

My mom could fry up a delicious batch of chicken in her cast iron skillet.  The birds were our own farm chickens (now called natural and free-range  :d), and I watched the whole process from clucking hen to drumstick on my plate.
