this is ridiculously good... full of butter and salt, but well worth it:http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/black-pepper-tofu-365129That looks good! Thanks!
Thanks! It was. Never thought I'd be fighting my husband over the last piece of tofu. I sautéed it long enough for it to get crispy and I doubled the sauce mixture and poured about 3/4 of it over the tofu in the pan, then when the tofu was done I put it on a plate, put the rest of the sauce in the pan just for a couple of minutes, then scraped it on top of the tofu on the plate (I don't like raw garlic, that's why I did that). https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/dububuchim-yangnyeomjang
prior to my soy allergy diagnosis, i ate a lot of tofu.one of my fave preparations was dusting with a bit of cornstarch and spices, and then pan frying it until it was crispy. then plating. then using the same pan, i'd saute some green beans in really hot oil with some honey and soy and garlic. i'd pour that over the tofu.
vomiting and diarrhea after eating soy oil, tofu, edamameit's one of my worst allergies - along with canola (canola causes anaphylaxis)(soy sauce is so denatured, and consumed in such small quantities - it doesn't seem to cause a problem)
mg, is your husband still a vegetarian?I love tofu but it wrecks my stomach. I want to make that black pepper thing but I know I would overeat it and hate life.
Sadly I can't even eat soy sauce without 3 days of diarrhea following.
