Jogged 2 miles to the track, then did 4 x 400m at mile pace with 400 rest.  Jogged home, 6 miles total.

5 miles. Poor running. Don't know if it was the Hoka shoes or the heat or just me.  But I think Hokas slow me down.  It's the third time I ran in them.

Humid and heading to 80.
8 miles at just under 9 pace.
I drank 3 lbs of water/gatorade, still lost 2 lbs.

Assuming my foot is OK tomorrow the half marathon next weekend is a go.

Fergus Highland Games 10K (little town an hour northwest of Toronto).  48 minutes flat.  Somewhat hilly run, but nice weather.  Warm and sunny, but not too hot. Small field finishing 29/90 overall.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Last weekend of mountain running before Pikes Peak ascent next Saturday.
Yesterday was about 10 miles of trail running near Evergreen, from 7600' to 9700' very slow going (10-11 min miles on technical terrain).
Today joined up with a large group BTC and did a brisk 11 miler on Rollinsville Road (from 8600' to 9600'), averaging 7:40 pace. Among the runners were a couple of former Olympic marathoners and a 3 time USA XC champ.
