« on: January 21, 2013, 11:18:34 AM »
I bought a can, because I had never seen or tasted this before.  What do I do with it now?

Yum.  I love it.  But I think the quality of canned hominy varies greatly with the brand.  I have had awful hominy.   :(

Posole is a pretty delicious Mexican stew.

I was doing WW Core a while ago and made Posole w/ canned hominy.  It smelled delicious and I couldn't wait.

I'm w/ Courtney.  Disgusting.

Grits (corn).

Very, very similar to polenta although I believe polenta is ground finer than hominy grits. Ice Cream - in addition to posole, you can try using the hominy as you would for a polenta recipe.

But hominy isn't ground? Well at least canned hominy isn't. It is dried corn.
