Side dishes
« on: December 11, 2012, 12:12:42 PM »
Give me some new ideas, they don't have to be uber healthy but healthy would be fine.  I am old school, I like my meat, a veggie and a starch type side.  Last night was white beans with garlic, good but I think I need to do it with dried beans next time, I shudder at the sodium level.

Risotto. I really like risotto. You can try mushroom, or if you're feeling adventurous, frankincense.
sauteed kale- if you season it properly, it's not going to be bitter.
Can't go wrong with Sweet Potato fries
My go to veggies is sauteed zucinni, red or orange pepper, onion and mushrooms. Worstershire sauce, crushed chilis for a little kick and that's it.
Bok Choy in oyster sauce.
Quinoa and amarynth mixture in a 2:1 ratio.
Balsamic tomatoes and clementines.
