Can you make homemade gravy without cooking a turkey?

yes, you can do it with broth and flour and butter, or look for a mushroom gravy recipe.

Yep...its really easy. Just buy some broth and you can use flour or corn starch to thicken it.

Ingredients

 .2 tablespoons butter or margarine $




2 tablespoons all-purpose flour $




1 (10 1/2-ounce) can chicken broth, undiluted $




1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Whisk in flour, and cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Whisk in broth and remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 2 minutes or until mixture thickens.

Thanks that looks super simple and uncomplicated! Last year no one made gravy and my sisters "fancy" stuffing was so dry

They have Swanson turkey broth in the grocery store now.  I'm going to stock (ha!) up.

Go to trader Joe's and buy a box of turkey gravy.  They had them prominently displayed last week.

Use a good veg stock cube or make your own veg stock. And then make gravy as with meat. Just as good.
If you lose one sense, your other senses are enhanced.

That's why people with no sense of humour have an increased sense of self-importance.
