10k time trial.
cloudy, upper 60s, not bad, but a little warm.
I loafed yesterday so felt I should go hard today.
warm up jog, walk a lap, stretch, away we go
targeting 47:5x, about 7:44 pace, or 1:55 per lap.
Started out with a 1:50, then a string of 1:52-1:55 for 10 laps,
faded to 1:56-1:58 for 12 laps,
closed with 1:54 and a monster 1:41
47:57 with splits of 23:46, 24:12, season best by 70 seconds.
Also SBs for 4 miles and 5 miles.
7:33, 7:39, 7:45, 7:51, 7:55, 7:51, 1:24
started fast and then faded, but kicked to the target.
Hard effort, broke a good sweat, no real pain
Warmer than I liked, and a couple of pounds heavier than I should be,
but nailed the target and couldn't have done much better.
Good good run, especially since the foot held up just fine.
Fastest time in 88 months, 7.3 years.
