New Shoes finally showed up.
Size 12 feels like size 11.
And all they had was D width, not E.
A little tight along the sides and snug in the toe box.
Darn.
They are 2oz lighter than my usual shoes, but $60 cheaper.
Gave them a try. First lap at usual decent effort, 1:57.
What?
Followed by 1:55, 1:56, 1:52, and 3 for a 7:43 mile.
Wow.
Walked 2 laps.
1:56, 1:56, 1:52, 1:47, 3 For 7:34.
My usual pace at that effort is 30 seconds slower.
Apparently my old shoes make me slow.
The question is: will the new shoes hold up and not get me injured?
I still don't like how snug they are, I shoved a baseball into the front of both.
