Went to the track not sure what to run.
Felling pretty good, but didn't want to work too hard until I got the new shoes.
Thought about 4 or 5 miles.
Started out a little faster than I should have.
After 6 laps at about 2:10 per I decided to go for a 2mile SB.
Last two laps in 2:01 and 1:51. Just under 17 minutes.
SB by about 20 seconds. And it wasn't too hard.
During the cool down walk I found a discus on the football field.
Being a discus guy in high school 35 years ago, I couldn't resist.
Running shoes are crap for discus throwing.
They want to grip the surface rather slide easy.
My spin was crap.
And I had forgotten how to hold it.
Just over 90 feet with the spin.
And just over 90 feet with just the arm.
Apparently I had forgotten how to spin, too.
After about 15 throws my wrist was getting sore.
Ah, the good ole days. The older I get the better I was.
