2 miles at just under 8 pace.
Eased off the last 3 weeks to let a sore foot heal.
Felt pretty good.
I got about 3 weeks to put up some good times before the snow falls.

5K race this morning.   It was about 42 and windy when the race started.  I felt really good and my stride was much better than my last race.  At the finish, my "kick" was pretty good, considering I was really tired, as I passed about 8 runners in the last 100 meters.  I was first in my age group by over a minute.  This was significant, since the second finisher is usually ahead of me.  For this first time this year, I finished in the top half (41.2 percentile).

Ran the 9.5 mile Groton trail race today. It was fun! I knew it wouldn't be my best race after running 8 miles yesterday, but thankfully there were some very big hills, so it was a terrific prep for the Ashland half marathon in two weeks. That's 44 miles for the week.

17K.  Nice crisp sunny fall day.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
