I'm having some strange pain. It's not really knee pain (which I usually think of as centering in the kneecap) and nothing hurts when I'm in motion - running, stairs, walking, etc - but if I sit even for a minute with my knee bent 90-degrees or more, like with that foot on or under the opposite knee, or cross-legged, it really hurts when I try to straight it. It feels the way it would feel if I had the knee bent for hours - stiff to straighten out. It's the underside of the knee/hamstring that hurts though, not the top of the knee.
This is only happening to the left leg/knee. It's also accompanied by some quad pain which I think it an over-training issue. Could they be connected?
If I sit regularly, with legs or ankles crossed or with feet flat on the ground I feel fine. It's only when the knee is bent at a 90-degree angle (or greater) and then, it only takes a few seconds to really hurt when I attempt to straighten it out to stand up.
I just finished a pretty intense 4-week speed-training program.
Am I broken forever?
