Food Dehydrator?
« on: May 10, 2015, 06:54:09 AM »
Anyone own one? I did 8 years ago but I think we got rid of it when we moved. It was a cheap one that sucked and took FOREVER to do anything. I want to look into a nicer one. Anyone have one? Looking at Excalibur brand and Norco. You know I am a kitchen gadget junkie. We need a bigger kitchen  :-[

i got one free from my work rewards points.  haven't used it yet but hoping it works well.  they're usually decent brands.

Dried fruit and making "raw" wraps with flax mixes.

I am staying away from dried fruit, since it's high in sugar and calories.

It would be for carrying along for running as I am finding i can only really tolerate fruit while running.

I do not have room in my kitchen for gadgets so I make jerky in my oven and it works fine.  I am sure you could do fruit or wraps also.

I am not sure how low my oven goes, but I think not under 200. Will go investigate.
