10 miles on the treadmill.

It felt really good.  I needed to do that, mentally.  Weird, I know.

11.5K.  Coldest run so far this season.  Windchill of -22F.

Why weird? Doesn't seem weird to me.

Off day from running. I took the kids skiing!

7 miles, brutally cold and windy.  Luckily, DH drove back from the gym and saw me. He stopped and handed me a balaclava!!!  Big help.

I was thinking that, five minutes into my run, I usually regret my choice, when I selected to run on the treadmill.  Even in this cold, I did not regret being outside and had no desire for the treadmill.

9 miles easy. Very cold: 14 degrees with 1-degree windchill. My nose felt like it was going to freeze off.

As much as I dislike the treadmill, when the windchill is in the negative digits, I am going to be indoors. I don't have asthma, but the frigid cold triggers coughing fits and I just can't be doing myself any good forcing myself to run outside in those conditions.

I love running outside when possible.  I also love the treadmill under certain conditions, especially if the footing outside is treacherous and I've got strides or tempo or I just feel like wearing shorts and a running bra in the middle of winter.

I'm an unrepentant candyass.  I'm happy to hit the treadmill if it's too cold, too hot, too humid, or if my horoscope looks dodgy.
