Got my evening trail run in.
4.3k, 23*C
Super “unmotivated“ but got out the door and got ‘er done anyway.
All zone one plus a little hiking especially after dark.

Glad to get several night (twilight) runs in this week, since my March target (ultra) event will require a lot of night time running.

Wanted to run, didn’t make time to.

Got hooked on watching a couple of college basketball games instead, by the time those were over it was time for bed.

Next time: take the headphones and listen to the game during the run.

Weather in North Texas was too nice NOT to run.

4K trail run at 20*C
Mostly easy pace with some walking and a couple of short zone 2 efforts

Tumor removal went great last Friday and recovery has been excellent so today I got out for a 3 mile run in between rainy periods.

Wow! You weren’t out for long! Glad you were able to get back out again so quickly!!

Glad to hear glwestcott.   

Had about 2" of morning snow in my area making a mess of the roads. Drove 4K to park close to a large cemetery and got in a traffic free 10.8K.

I like cemetery runs.

For extra motivation… pretend “they’re” chasing you!


My Monday was a combo cost-saver commute and run on one of my favorite urban paved path/dirt hybrid routes:
11.4 km (14*C)from the airport to the hotel saving an extra day of car rental and not having to pay parking at the hotel!
Heck of a headwind and I got an extra benefit running hard to (mostly) beat dusk. Best pure run for me in several months.

Chasing daylight is almost as good as running from zombies.

Temps above freezing today. Made for a really slushy morning 7K commute run. Glad for Gortex trail shoes.


2K afternoon bank run.


7K back home. Lots of puddles jumping.

It's an ice rink outside with melting snow and freezing rain for the past two days. I ran on an indoor track, 6.2 miles, with 2 mile warm up, a short speed/sharpening session of 2X 600, 4X 200 with a 200 m recovery, and then a bit over 2 for a cool down. Pancake breakfast with friends following the workout.

Morning 7K run commute in slushy conditions.


Freezing rain, wet snow and hail prevented a run commute home.

No run today but did get in 9k of Nordic ski cross-training. 4*C
