Does anyone have a good one? Or something that I can serve with coffee or tea? I have a few women coming over at different times in the next couple of weeks and need to have something for them to nibble on.

One of my coworkers bakes coffee cake that is made with pistachio pudding every year when it's her turn to do dept meeting snacks. Sounds iffy at best, I know, but it's divine. I dream of that coffee cake all year.
Sadly, I don't have the recipe to pass along, as I've never asked her for it. If I made it, DH wouldn't like it and I'd end up devouring the whole thing within about 24 hours...

This looks very close to the one I use.

I posted this in the lemons thread, but it's really good and definitely works as a brunch-type "coffee cake": http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/lemon_poppy_seed_cake.html (http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/lemon_poppy_seed_cake.html)

In the U.S. Coffee cake is often a pound cake that has cinnamon crumb mixture (cinnamon and sugar) layered on top (instead of frosting) and often in the middle of the cake (like a swirl.) so not cake made with coffee. coffee cake would be considered a quick bread (bread that doesn't need to be kneaded or raised.) Not quite a cake, not quite bread. Most are quite tasty.
