Title: how to cook bacon wrapped filet ?
Post by: monster2 on November 02, 2012, 03:29:35 PM
Hopefully someone will see this and respond, Freshfield farms had a sale so we got some but to be honest I have never cooked one.  One recipe looks pretty simple, pan sear in butter on both sides then throw in a 400 degree oven and check temps until it reaches medium (140-150.) Can it really be this easy?   To be honest I want to look like a rock star here and cook something good...  ;)

We always sear the edges of the filet (the bacon part) because otherwise I feel like the bacon isn't always cooked to my liking. Then into the oven like you said. Searing the bacon is a personal taste thing... I like crispy bacon. YMMV.
