13.8 miles with about half of the time on xc ski trails and half on roads. I wore road trainers (NB 866) instead of trail shoes or thick-soled super shoes. That was sort of a compromise and you know something?? It did not work! My footing was not that good on the trails, taking a lot of extra work to keep stable and then after nearly an hour on the pavement my legs were trashed.

I have discovered i actually prefer a low drop trail shoe to my previous favourite high cushion road shoe. So I'm going to try to hunt down a high cushion road shoe with a low drop.
I got in 10k today. First 5 was my Garmin workout, then turned around and hiked back. It felt great. Looking forward to the whole 10 being a run.
