Title: Monday July 28th

I talked my buddy into hiking hill repeats to help him (and me) prep for an upcoming 14er hike in Colorado.

He got there before me and got two repeats in, and had decided he wanted 6 total to get 1000feet vert on the evening.

I was jealous but instead of staying late to do two more without him to keep up, I talked him into doing one extra. So he got 7, I got 5, and between the two of us we averaged 1000’ vert!

I challenged him to a “brisk” pace for the final ascent, he was game but my legs said politely, today is not the day for “brisk”

2.72 km, 259 m vert (that’s 9% average gain including the downhills - so 18% average for the climbs!)
36*C and super humid, we hydrated between each repeat.
