I ran in a small 8.5k uphill race. Nothing special, 12th in a small field. But 2 spots better than last year and 6 minutes faster, so I’ll take it!

Ran the masters 4 mile championship yesterday. Had rough start but closed well (37 second negative split) to finish 2nd in my age group and was 5th or 6th in overall age grading (89.5%).
Going to take a break for a few days and then reset for a fall marathon, one of the big ones.

That's awesome! I did an early version of that run in the mid-80s and have run up the access roads there many times.

Nice work DrT and Coyote.
Ran the 5K route of the Canada Day 5K that I race direct to confirm there weren't any issues with the route. All good.
Later ran a mile from a streetcar diversion to the football stadium of the Canadian Football League game I was attending. Wanted to get there quick as they were giving out a limited amount of replica Championship rings that the Toronto Argonauts won last year. I got one.
