Finally a sunny warm day over 70°F. 11.5K

Ran my 15th Bolder Boulder 10K, going back to 1983(!). Misty and rainy, which was kind of a damper offsetting super part of super shoes as they tend to be a little slippery. Was trying to be the oldest to break 40 but came up short. Finished in 40:24, won my age group, and would have been 3rd for 60+.
Fantastic finishes in the men's and women's elite-pro races, with Connor Mantz outkicking Kenya's Daniel Ebenyo (he's one of their best) over the final 50 meters, and Kenya's Grace Nawowuna set a course record in 31:52.
N'sBabyDad if you read this, ex BYU runner Aubrey Frenthaway was top American woman in 4th, with about 32:40. She looked great and has had a really good spring (1:09 half marathon, 51 min 10 mile over the past couple of months).

Great job Loco! Congratulations!
Bolder Boulder is on my bucket list, on that hilly course I’d be doing well to break 60:00.
Did a last minute team relay thing at my local trail running shop, 6 hours timed event with 3-person teams. We got 40 miles in (20 laps) and went back and forth for the lead with one other team, it ended up being a difference of 30 seconds over 6 hours that they got us by(!)
12 miles (18k) for me, in some ways this was harder than a half because of all of the stop/starts.
Got a little rain during the race but mostly just overcast and high 70s F, near perfect “summer” running weather.

Congratulation Loco.
Saw the final sprint battle on YouTube. Great come from behind kick by Mantz.
