Title: Sunday April 6
Post by: Loco Coyote on April 06, 2025, 09:00:49 PM
I did a double today. Last xc ski of the season, and last in Colorado--at least as a resident. I skied 90 minutes, tracks were fast. I was tired from a week of poor sleep. Later in the day after I got home, I ran 3 miles on the trails, very easy.

40 miles running, 21 km skiing this week.

It’s been five months since I ran 13.1 or longer…and probably at least twice that long since I posted here.

But: 23km(14.5 miles) 5*C (40F) and I’m back in the game on track for my local trail half marathon race in three weeks.
Trails were wet so did about 80% on gravel and asphalt, included a little Singletrack trail on some sections that I knew hold up well after it rains.

Loco- you’re moving?

Yes. My last day at Snow Mountain Ranch. We are heading to the Twin Cities this summer. We'll rent a place first but it looks like that's where we'll settle.

I’ve never skied that part of the country but hopefully you’ll have good winter trail options drivable from the Twin Cities.

I got a handful of days on snow this season but not as many as I’d have liked.
