Title: Best running headlamp
Post by: kawasa on November 03, 2024, 04:00:38 PM
Now that we've set the clocks back and the days are getting shorter I realize I'm going to have trouble getting in my runs.  I have some headlamps for general use but they would be too bouncy to deal with on a run. What are your favorite headlamps to run with?

I like this one.

https://www.rei.com/product/202774/black-diamond-spot-400-headlamp?cm_mmc=email_tran-_-trans_order_confirm-_-240311-_-img_prod1&ev36=&rmid=trans_order_confirm&rrid=25752054&ev11=&redirect-pup=false

It’s very light, plenty bright, and the price is right.  Runs on regular batteries, or a rechargeable pack.  It has a few features that I will never use, but I don’t hold that against the product.

Have you seen some of the waist lamps?
Supposedly they are better at guiding you and they don’t shine into other runners faces.

That's actually what I ended up with. My wife knew I was looking and bought it for me. Now I'm just not sure what to strap it to haha

So I decided to go with the Naked running belt. The light i have is the Kogalla ultra and it comes with a magnet that the light sticks to. I'll stick the magnet in the pocked and then the light on the other side.
