Ran a 10K race organized by a friend and co-worker this morning. Two hour drive to get to the race, so early 5am wake up to make the 9am race. It was a hot and humid one. Temps in the high 70°F, but feeling 10° warmer. Heart rate was in the top zone averaging 90% throughout the race according to my Garmin,
Not a big race, just 64 people in the 10K and 93 in the 5K. Flat mostly, along a river trail doing an out & back one way, and then the opposite way. Gun time 49:23, a good 3 minute slower than a 10K a couple of months ago in cool, damp weather. Finished 8th overall, just behind the first female finisher. Did negative split. 24:46 then 24:38.

Congrats Eddie!
Race here as well but a 5K. 74, feels like 78. It was the state road championship. Splits of 6:06, 6:10, 6:13, 1st in age and I think it'll be 2nd in age grading. 7.8 miles on the day.
