I did a track workout at sunrise today (32 F, cloudy, groundhog day does not work in Colorado. You are guaranteed 8-10 weeks more of winter-warm-winter cycles.
Warm up - then 3X 1000 m, 3X 800m with short recovery. Ended up as a progression, didn't feel great but got it done. 7 miles.
Later I did 3.3 miles just getting my legs moving, with 5X 20-30 sec hill reps.

8K recovery. Local albino groundhog predicted an early spring, but we haven't really had much of a winter yet around here.
