Coyote, 62 miles is a lot, especially for us older guys.  :) What are you training for?

I just got off a marathon block and now shifting more to 10K to half marathon for the next few months. Mapping out plans and think I'll do a few shorter races (800 m to 3K) in August to get some speed back. As far as miles, have tended to do better at 55-65 miles a week, over that and I get fatigued some/legs tired, under not quite getting the aerobic level. The training system I was doing was great for several years, but have been a bit stale in the pandemic era. So who knows, maybe a 1500-800 block is needed within the next year.

USATF masters track championships in Ames, IA are this week. I considered going, but just a month off the marathon decided that was too soon to be anywhere near 100%.

I have a lot of friends competing in that. I briefly considered it myself, but after my disappointing performance at the Connecticut Masters games, I realized it's not in the cards for me this year. Instead, I'll focus on the local meats. Maine senior games is on July 31!
