Cut a planned 10 miler down to a more manageable 8.5 miles. Wasn’t really feeling it.
Was windy but dry and around 50 degrees tho so that was nice.

Felt horrible at the start but 2 miles in did alternating 1 mile moderate/almost hard (so marathon pace+ some) and easy. Right at the end I got distracted by some pedestrians and a truck--trying to figure out which way they were going so I could navigate the final 0.1 over a bridge, and proceeded to twist an ankle. So might need to rest for a few days. No XC skiing tomorrow.
