I'll have to come back and read this later :)

Thanks for this. Exciting finishing times. A couple of questions:
What shoes were they wearing??
The article (which reads partly as a PR piece) says Renowned as the world’s fastest half marathon
also states the course is new. So how can it be known as fast but also be different from previous iterations?
eta:
I also can't find any of her prior race results other than Chicago where she finished 7 minutes back from Kosgei. Can you?

Ababel was wearing Nike Vaporfly shoes. So was her male pacer.

The records are great for promoting the sport but it's all about the shoes.
The other choice for a link was letsrun and I didn't want to give them any more clicks than they already get.
You can design a fast course without having had runners racing on it. Flat or slightly rolling, few turns, and set it on days when you know you'll probably get good weather.
Yeah, I don't know anything about her.

Gotcha (on the fast course thing) thanks

Report I saw was warm fairly warm and humid, 60s and 60s so that's a little surprising.
I think having a male pacer is an * because to be totally legit they are looking at all female races--but that rule has been dodgy (per Paula Radcliffe).
I'm incredulous at her rise. She's a been a world class runner for nearly a decade since age 19, but hasn't had that huge break out performance. 14:41 and 30:15 track PRs and has been on a gold medal winning world XC team. But this run is so out of the park, at 13:49 and 29:01 equivalent for 5K and 2:15 marathon. So right up there with Kosgei.

Yup. That's exactly why I've been trying to find more data on her. As for Kosgei...
