First the 2 hour barrier is broken, now the women's marathon world record is smashed. What a weekend!
Kenya's Brigid Kosgei eclipsed the 16-year-old women's marathon world record held by Britain's Paula Radcliffe as she retained her Chicago title.
The 25-year-old recorded a time of two hours 14 minutes 04 seconds, easily inside Radcliffe's mark of 2:15:25 set at the London Marathon in 2003. https://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/50035304?fbclid=IwAR3bfAGTh2A9L_5rPCQFjcKhRAv43IWSvwrw0b3VfOVIW60obtZv4Aoo1Lw

:runner:
Meanwhile Rupp and Hasay both drop out after running out of secret sauce. :o A slew of Americans behind them still showed up with solid times, with 10 guys breaking 2:12, only about 2-3 of whom I've heard of. The Trials could be interesting!
An altogether reasonable weekend.

I'm leaning toward shoe skeptic. Where does it end?
