Rotary Barrie Fun Run 10K.
A hot, humid Barrie Rotary Fun Run 10K race this evening about 45 minutes north of Toronto. All of 32 finishers in the 10K. The timer said originally there were 77 registered for the 10K, but many of them transferred to the 5K (257 finishers in the 5K), or no showed because of the heat. A flat double out and back x 2 for us 10Kers on a waterfront roadway. Unfortunately, the somewhat strong wind was not coming off the water.
Finished in 50:47. All of 4 seconds faster than my previous 10K two months ago (that race was hilly, but much cooler). 10th overall, 9th male. Probably first in my 50+ age group, but there were four runners listed as 99 years of age ahead of me, and they were all young looking when I spotted them on the four hairpin turn arounds. Only first three finishers got awards, so the timer has yet to correct the ages.

Went for a 10k time trial.
Evening, heading to dark, the rain had stopped, but it was still warm.
Started overheating about half way through, stopped at halfway
only to discover I had miscounted laps and had done 1 extra.
About 8 flat pace, so I could have paced Eddie in his race.
