 6 miles – brutally hot, 72°. I hate summer.

11 lousy miles running. Pea soup. + 12 good miles cycling later in the day.

I'm in the early stages of a running comeback and this one seems to be sticking, so I guess I should actually start recording what I've been up to.  My max run right now is about 4 miles.  I turned 50 this year and a lot of friends my age couldn't do nearly that so I guess I'll take some satisfaction that I'm not completely out of shape!

I didn't have much time this morning, so I walked to our local college track and did what passes as a track workout these days:  3 x 400m with a 400 jog in between.  400s were 90, 90 and 91.

Ran my age group half marathon PR with a 1:18:40 yesterday, breaking the state record from last month by 36 seconds. General splits were 18:16 for 3 miles, 36:23 for 6 miles, 1:00:13 (also an age group PR) for 10 miles, and closed the final 5K with sub 6 splits to the finish. I won't get any awards or anything but until the next bloke comes along an smashes it, I'll be listed in the Colorado Runner Magazine's November annual edition.
