2.35 on the mill. Weak effort, but I'm just getting over a cold and had a coughing jag that stopped me.

Sprint workout today!

Jog 800m
20 mins plyo warmups

5 x 200m @85% top speed
Jog 800m

I know many distance runners don't understand why the reps are so low.  A typical distance running speed workout might be 20 x 200m.  But those 200's would be done at say one mile race pace.  A good hard workout.

But the 200's I did today are much faster - close to top speed.  It's impossible for a 58 year old like me to run more than 5 or 6 200's at such an all out effort without risking injury (and/or diminishing returns).  Its just a different workout.

9 miles on the bike. Knee didnt complain any louder than it would just lounging around. Encouraging. Dr visit tomorrow.  :fingers:
