Title: What should I make with this pork "stock"?
Post by: Run Amok on September 07, 2016, 02:06:52 PM
I made pulled pork in my IP a few days ago and was left with about 2 cups of liquid. The pulled pork was flavored with cumin, coriander, chile powder, chipotles, oregano, so I'm guessing the stock has a similar flavor profile. Anyone have an amazing pork soup recipe they wanna share?

Hmm, I would go with some sort of a ramen, I think... but that's more around the idea of a pork-based broth than the specific flavorings.

we use pork stock/ pan drippings/ pan liquid for legume soups (white bean, lentil, split pea) depending on the flavouring and what kind of dried legumes we have around

and sometimes for braised lentils

Greens love pork.  I'd do something with a big pile of greens.

Something along these lines: http://www.msmarket.coop/recipe/greens-and-pork-soup/ (http://www.msmarket.coop/recipe/greens-and-pork-soup/) , but with more greens.  (the amount seems to be a typo)   I've never made this recipe, and it looks like it wants more spice, so your broth might be perfect!
