Title: Anyone tried a meal delivery service?
Post by: oblio on November 05, 2015, 12:59:46 PM
I'm getting paleo meals delivered from a local place each week, breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are OK. I just wanted some healthy food, but I don't love all the meat. I'm considering trying a new service, like Diet-to-Go. Anyone tried one of these? What did you think?

Do they leave the meal outside if you are not home for delivery?  I am sure all the animals would eat them here before I get to them.

Other than that, I would never consider a meal delivery, so I have nothing to add.  sorry.

I know someone who has tried Blue Apron, not exactly the same thing as you still have to prepare the food.  She liked it, but thought it was kind of expensive.  I guess that depends on where you live. going out to eat in Ohio is  alot cheaper than NYC, so for us, not a cost savings, a higher cost place, it probably is.

I use a place called Dream dinners, but that is even farther away from delivery.  It is a meal make ahead place (though I have them assemble the food for me.)

My neighbors have been receiving Blue Apron for over a year now. It showed up around the time their baby was born so I assumed it was a gift but they are still getting it. I guess they like it since it still arrives regularly
