6 miles. Sore quads & tired.
Beautiful Fall Hudson Valley morning.
-
6 miles, nice and cool. Wore running pants for first time this fall.
-
12 miles. Cold! But sunny and lovely.
-
2 miles at just under 8 pace.
Eased off the last 3 weeks to let a sore foot heal.
Felt pretty good.
I got about 3 weeks to put up some good times before the snow falls.

5K race this morning. It was about 42 and windy when the race started. I felt really good and my stride was much better than my last race. At the finish, my "kick" was pretty good, considering I was really tired, as I passed about 8 runners in the last 100 meters. I was first in my age group by over a minute. This was significant, since the second finisher is usually ahead of me. For this first time this year, I finished in the top half (41.2 percentile).

Six mile nature walk.
-
5.75 mile walk/run.

Ran the 9.5 mile Groton trail race today. It was fun! I knew it wouldn't be my best race after running 8 miles yesterday, but thankfully there were some very big hills, so it was a terrific prep for the Ashland half marathon in two weeks. That's 44 miles for the week.

Weights.
Went out and walked, tested the foot with some jogging.
