Today is the day off.  Signed up for my first 5k in ages yesterday; running the Fonseca in Hudson June 21.  That means I have to try to get fast again!

 :panic:

I've been trying to work in tempo / fartlek elements to almost all my runs.  I found out yesterday 7 miles is too far for that shit for me right now.  :D

Easy 3.  I might add a bit of bike, too, if I finish work early enough.

Going to run 9 miles later. Vermont City is three weeks from yesterday. Will hit 70 miles this week, then two-week taper.

2 miles easy.

The force is with me, always.

It just didn't feel like doing anything today.

I've found that a three week taper leaves me stronger. For example:

(sunday long runs/weekly mileage)
18/45
12/30
6/20
race.

This is for 225lb 50 year olds. Your mileage may vary.

Good luck on the race :runner:
