I don't like her husband.

What's wrong with spending $100+ every 3-4 months on running shoes that you use on a regular basis?   People will spend $100+ on a dinner & drinks in one night and not blink an eye.  Why do people get so uptight about spending money on health & fitness?

Also, it sounds like her coach put her in Newton shoes, which run around $175.  If you run regularly, your shoes will wear out.   Big deal.

I have a friend who lives in Dayton, he definitely qualifies as an asshole.
