Warmed up to a balmy 27°F today. Got in a 20 minute skate early afternoon skate and a 10K run later in the afternoon.

7K run commute to work. Extra layer and heated gloves. Feeling -4°F into the windchill at times.

3 miles on a dry and sunny 36° January day. I think we’re setting a record here for January days with no precipitation.

Cold, but not too bad out if you're not running into the wind, so went well beyond planned 8-10K. Cloudy noon time 16.25Ks.

What do you do for a breakfast protein?
I try to mix it up.  Eggs, cottage cheese, chicken, sardines, salmon, shrimp, and plain Greek yogurt are in the rotation.

I don't use protein powder, but there are a bunch of egg-based ones on the market if you are looking for a non-dairy solution.

Do you consume?  If so, which and why?

I put it in my oatmeal in the morning and have been using an iso whey product because I think it's the most bioavailable.  It's fine, I guess, but I'm not a fan of it having sucralose or being dairy so I've been exploring other options.  I keep coming back to it as being a practical choice.

I wish I could wrap my head around having a non dairy source of 20g of protein for breakfast.
