Title: broccoli - help!
Post by: floridagal on July 25, 2021, 08:10:18 PM
I love broccoli but want new ideas - any ideas, actually - how to cook it - preferably healthy but anything to inspire. :)

Barry can tell you all about crack broccoli.  It's pretty good and definitely different if you haven't tried it yet.

I feel your pain! I think it was RA who recommended roasting it with olive oil, salt, lemon juice and red pepper. That was enough to get me over the broccoli doldrums. We also do a chicken and broccoli stir fry that is good.

We steam, roast and grill it. And raw on broccoli salad. We eat a lot of it but it can get tiresome.

Roasted it with olive oil and salt at 425 for around 20 minutes, I think? Then when it came out, put it in a big bowl and stirred in ground pepper and parmesan cheese.  Found a recipe in Simply Recipes that went something like that.

It was delicious! Appreciate the recommendations. I forgot about roasting. Ha.

Here's the recipe Barry has posted in earlier threads.  It's pretty tasty.
