Maui trip results.

Approximately 1300 digital images of varying quality :D  and one dead Canon Rebel XT body  :'(

Dropped my camera from my lap to concrete on day 2 of our trip to Maui which is probably one of the worst places in the US to kill your camera (unless you have deep pockets).  I was shocked when MrsT suggested we buy a new body so that I could continue to record our trip for the remaining 7 days.  It took me a bit to find a Canon at a decent price there and I'm trying not to look at the local stores to see what I could have bought here for the same $.  Unfortunately I was not able to find just a body and because of that I just picked up a basic T3 rather than the T5i I have been drooling over.

Now comes the tough part - sorting through all the shots for the 200 or so best ones.

Oof! Sorry your camera bit the big one :(

Thanks.  I wanted to upgrade my body, but I didn't want to do it this way.  I've compared the photos taken with the different bodies during the trip and that old Rebel XT took surprisingly good shots for 2006 era technology.

We were in Maui in the beginning of June and my Canon Rebel … got left at home on my kitchen table.

Bummer!  Hope you had a good trip despite leaving your loved one at home.

It was a great trip, and I made the best of it with the camera phone.
