GOGOGO!!! THEY SAID YOU'D NEVER RUN AGAIN!
Can't wait to see what kind of bizarre outfit Salazar has Rupp compete in.
Now did Desi collect all her book pages is the real question
They did say that. Fuck em.
So many Americans who I've never even heard of in the top 10. I love it.
The crazy part is not a single one of the 8 elite Ethiopians finished, and only 2 of the 11 elite Kenyans finished (Kirui and Edna Kiplagat)
He (rupp) dropped out to pull a bank heist.
Despite the near guarantee of slower times, there's something appealing about the "suck it, bitches!" from mother nature years. It's a great way to level the playing field and with the caliber of white folk entered on both sides, means that the Americans have as good a shot as anybody!.... Can't wait to see what kind of bizarre outfit Salazar has Rupp compete in.
I’m pissed that Ellen beat me. <kidding>. Ellen rocks. I posted this on FB:What a crazy race that was. An hour slower than any marathon I’ve ever run, but I can’t think of a better way to run my final Boston Marathon. My goal was to give it all I had, finish strong, and smile. So I embraced the relentless downpour and headwinds with the help of my amazing wife Robin crewing me, the millions of cheering spectators, and volunteers (thank you GFRC). They told me I’d never run again and I just completed the most badass Boston Marathon ever.
I am THRILLED with my time. That weather was the worst I’ve ever run in. I’ve never trained in this and was totally miserable. I felt good until about 15, and then I just got too cold. The last two miles were a shuffle, but I knew I was going to finish!
Rochey, I clicked on your pics on the B.A.A. app and your smile at the end was priceless. You are a machine. And only you could look that good after running through what you did, as fast as you did ❤️I am in awe of everybody who ran today
I'm just going to start dictating Ellen's report until she returns to duty...Miles 20, 21: 13:56, 14:39Everything is wet and I'm dying. Stopped to punch a random guy with resting douche-face and steal his umbrella. Heartbreak. What drives you to push forward when you're simultaneously climbing a hill and swimming upstream? Pretended the asphalt was Trump's face. Effective.
Today is 50s with a tailwind and chance of a shower.
I was talking to a girl at the gym about logistics for the upcoming Broad Street Run while watching and I was reminded that the last time I did that race [2016], it was in conditions much like they ran up in Boston yesterdayThat race is only ten miles; I can't imagine what 26.2 would have been like = certainly a SufferfestAgain, well done to everyone, and I hope you have all rehydrated, refueled, rested and defrosted today
Fantastic blog post here - How Yuki won(break Rupp) and much morehttp://japanrunningnews.blogspot.com/2018/04/how-it-happened.html
