Double run today. First: 8 miles, sunny and hot, 75°.
I would get drunk on Bud Light with Dylan Mulvaney.

5K this morning -- The course is pretty tough with some long hills and the last 3/4 mile is on a sand/gravel road.  I was hoping to get under 30 as this is only my third race this year and I'm not racing sharp.  I ran strongly the entire way, while trying to stay relaxed/efficient, but did some nice running on the sand/gravel road.  I finished in 29:01 which was very surprising as that was 45 seconds faster than last year and way ahead of goal.  I was first in my age group; comfortably by almost two minutes.

As an aside, my granddaughter was first in the 20--29 age group.

Interval workout, 20 min warmup followed by 2 min at 5K pace x 4, with 2 min recovery between, then 20 min cooldown.
This space for rent.

Later six more miles on the trails. That's 40 for the week!
