This is the lakeside trail that I use on days when I walk/jog/run to work. I'm on it for about 3.5 of the 5 miles. This little clip that I took on the way home this evening hardly does it justice, but you get the idea. I see tons of wildlife (deer, raccoons, beaver, muskrat, egrets, herons, geese, wood ducks, turtles, snakes, hawks, kingfishers, bald eagles, etc. And it's nice and shady. I would walk it just for fun, even if it didn't connect the two most important places in my life.
This is what it looks like when we're not in a drought. On the left you can see a little monkey hand puppet. It's our mascot, and whoever finds it moves it somewhere else and then everybody tries to find it again. I haven't seen it for 4 months now.
Nice vid.It sounds like you're wearing hobnail boots.
Beware the monkey's paw!
Knock...knock...knock Makeda just referenced that story recently.
My giant Hoka shoes make a ruckus.
The only running I've done this year is on an indoor track. 5 days until the National Masters T&F Championships!:
I know where that is!!! We called it "The Cement Boardwalk"D'Wife saw Rob Lowe rollerblading there when we were visiting her brotherWe went to a bar on Mission Beach Blvd [The Blue Ox, I think it was called?]. The band played indoor and they had a patio where we were. She almost got herself in a fight with half a dozen surfers
