I have gotten reports from members that they are receiving the following error message when attemtping to get into Yammering:

Squid did not receive any data for this request.

Your cache administrator is webmaster.

Here is what I have learned about the source of the error:

1) It is not coming from the forum.
2) Squid is a web proxy that would be running either on your work server or at your ISP.
3) It seems that if there is a delay in the response from a server that kind of message may crop up.
4) Yammering, being as voluminous as it is may take a bit longer to return results than most other sources.  That could account for the squidly response.

If you are getting this message at work, you are probably SOL :(  If at home, you might speak with your internet service provider about it.

Turned out to be a problem with YAMMERING.  The squid message was a red herring.

Whenever there is a red herring flopping around on the table, I always feed it to the squid.  Makes for shorter meetings :)

The squid's name is "MacGuffin" isn't it?

A Hitchcock fan.
