I just read about this stuff this morning and now I'm dying to try it.

That is in my cousin's neighborhood. I've assigned him the task of going to try it and reporting back. It looks like our neighborhood gelateria has teamed up with my favorite local lebanese place to make some interesting summer treats but they do not appear to be the same stretchy goodness pictured above, sadly.

What's it like Jan? It sounds like it doesn't melt like ice cream so I imagine a very different mouth feel. Is it more like runny cheese?

I had it in Jordan.  You are right, it doesn't melt as fast.  The flavors are a bit less sweet and intense due to the ingredients they use.  I think I had pistachio and one of my kids had the gum flavor.  It felt resilient in your mouth, not stretchy really, just not melty soft.

I just did a search and there is a restaurant here in Oakland that includes booza on the dessert menu. It's on the list!
