Title: Race Event of this week: Manchester Road Race
Post by: Coyote Mas Loco on November 23, 2016, 12:07:21 PM: US Olympic medalists Galen Rupp and Paul Chelimo face off in the Manchester Road race this week, along with the likes of Ben True and a host of near Olympians. Among the women Edna Kiplagat, Emily Sisson, and Jordan Hasay headline the field.

How come, too big and crowded?

The one year I was out there I did a 10K XC type race near Hartford. It was still pretty competitive.

I think that's probably it. The big crowds are not really my thing.

The little run I did today, and the last few Thanksgivings, with about 50 friends and neighbors was the same 4.7 mile distance as Manchester but no bibs, no times, just fun. And I can walk to the start.
