Post by: Coyote Mas Loco on November 23, 2016, 12:07:21 PM
US Olympic medalists Galen Rupp and Paul Chelimo face off in the Manchester Road race this week, along with the likes of Ben True and a host of near Olympians. Among the women Edna Kiplagat, Emily Sisson, and Jordan Hasay headline the field.

20 miles or so from me, and I've never run it.

How come, too big and crowded?

The one year I was out there I did a 10K XC type race near Hartford. It was still pretty competitive.

I think that's probably it. The big crowds are not really my thing.

The little run I did today, and the last few Thanksgivings, with about 50 friends and neighbors was the same 4.7 mile distance as Manchester but no bibs, no times, just fun. And I can walk to the start.
