My family went to Disney when I was 9 or 10 years old.  River Country was, by far, my favorite part of the trip.  I always wondered what happened to it.  Thanks for posting!

It's not Traction Park, that's for sure

This whole thread is a metaphor for the open pub, you see. Wasn't that clever?

Abandoned theme parks and ski areas evoke strong nostalgia in me.

One that never was. Abandoned is an interesting series, they cover everything from the decline of Blockbuster to various malls and department stores that went under.

The scientific consensus might, of course, be wrong. If the history of science teaches anything, it is humility. But our grandchildren will surely blame us if they find that we understood the reality of climate change and failed to do anything about it.

maybe that's all we are, two birds chirping at each other in order to provide comfort.

if so, we're doing a poor job of it....

shiiiiiiiiiit. we were hoping to hit up a local restaurant still offering take out food for breakfast this weekend and then go enjoy it in a park.

it's gonna be forties with rain today and snow on Monday.

I hate the weather in new England.

(glad you enjoyed your outdoors)
