Which one did you get?  I’m planning to buy one when I get back home.

I think someone on twitter posted about cooking bagels in her airfryer, which I thought was odd, but I scrolled right past so I'm afraid I can't tell you anything about it...

My friend is making steak tips in hers (and if I remember correctly steak tips are a NE thing). either way, she's cooking meat.

They call it "flap meat" down here.  Steak tips sounds much nicer :).

I like to do chicken or eggplant parm in it but we most often do various kinds of potatoes.

my sister likes to make brussels sprouts and broccoli in hers and DH's cousin loves hers for tequenos.  I'm sure they're good for fries, too.  We like veggie tots here so I plan to try that.

I have a phillips...it was recommended to me by a coworker. Apparently its the original the was soon copied by everyone. I have used it once for fries now and they were delicious. I have had jerk chicken and fries from my coworker's and both were excellent.

FWIW, there’s an attachment for the instant pot that does air frying. I have no idea if it’s any good, but was reading about it yesterday.

I picked up a Power XL air fryer at Target the other day.  3 QT.  I think I needed to see the size and weight to finally pull the trigger, and MM's post about copying Phillips gave me comfort because it sounds like the technology is pretty standard across the board.
I used it to cook asparagus (for me) and curly fries (for DH and DD).  The asparagus turned out delicious - I drizzled a teeny bit of oil as per recommendations I saw on the web, but less than I'd usually use.  I love asparagus to be charred on high heat in the oven and it had much of the same flavor without the actual black bits.

DH and DD went crazy for the curly fries.  They were indeed very crispy.  I have frozen tequenos in the fridge (Venezuelan app like a mozzarella stick) so I'll probably try them next.

The unit is pretty big and I wouldn't have gone larger than 3 QT.  It'll live in my pantry in the spot currently taken up by the Instant Pot.  The fryer is a much better fit for us.

I went ahead and bought the air fryer top for my existing Instant Pot.  It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm optimistic that it will be useful in my situation which rarely involves cooking for more than two people at a time.

I will need a report.
