Up early due to jet lag. So I ran 8.6 miles, longest run in a year. Have a nice day.
-
6.2 miles tempo run; weights later
-
Foot is feeling better, hoping to run later this week.
-
8 lousy humid miles early this morning. I am so very done with summer.
-
Fifth Avenue Mile in 5:49; my first one-mile race. It was tough! I think training for it cured me of my marathon shuffle.
Before that did a 2-mile warm up plus some strides.

7.25. Hello, Fall.
-
Half marathon training run.
I was planning to run a race this weekend, but spent time with family visiting from the coast instead.
No running yesterday, and a few easy days before that, so I decided to try and improve my time in the half.
Up early, cool, some wind, the sun was coming up, but conditions were pretty good.
First 4 miles non stop, then started taking walk breaks every other mile with
either gatorade or water. Final 3 miles nonstop.
Half marathon in just under 1:58, which is 8:59 pace. New season best by almost 5 minutes.
Also SBs for 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 miles.
And I felt pretty good, instead of wasted like the previous efforts.
Just over 30 miles for the week and no new pain or injuries. Happy happy.
