I'm about to be awash in cherry tomatoes. Other than salad what are your favorite things to do with them? Do they make good sauce? Maybe I'll do some canning.

Omelettes. Snacks. Coworkers will appreciate them - they're not zucchini.
-
I freeze them and use for sauce and soup all winter

I know it doesn't say "cherry," but I love this and it's the first thing I thought of.

<3 someone here shared a really excellent tomato tart recipe a few years ago. It's soooo good.

When I have zillion cherry tomatoes, I throw them in a roasting pan with garlic and salt, and roast them. When they're done I'll jar it up and use as sauce. It's a bit chunky because the skins are in there so I'll hit it with the stick blender to smooth things out.

I eat them like candy. :d
-
oven-dried, store some in oil for longevity... they store alright in airtight containers if they are well-dried but I put the bulk of what I do in oil as a precaution
-
use cold linguine, add sliced raw red onions, black olives, capers, basil, maybe some marinated mushrooms or artichoke, vinaigrette, and serve.
-
ANything you'd do with other tomatoes (except sandwiches).
Bruschetta (put it on toasty french bread, put it on a steak, put it on chicken, eat it with a spoon).
Tomato tarts
Tomato and stuff quiche
I don't make sauce from mine, but I'll put some in toward the end to make a puttanesca made with canned died tomatoes taste more "fresh". Making the whole sauce out of them on my usually 40 minutes of simmering results in too much weird peel stuff.
Pick 'em green and make caribougrrl's green tomato salsa. (In my zone, we generally do that at end of season when the plants are still producing but a freeze is expected).

Too many to just eat? I'd eat the fuck out of fresh cherry tomatoes if I had a lot of them.

Salsa! We go through tons of chips and salsa, and I much prefer fresh to canned.

I pelt public speakers with 'em.
